Beast of Pain

The latest character I've designed for Dreadfield, my personal narrative project which explores concepts relating to mental illness and emotional challenge through the lens of dark fantasy and sci-fi.

"To feel like a prisoner in one's own mind is a terrifying position to be in. It takes an unconventional kind of strength to find the calmness and beauty in periods of darkness. With this awareness, one is able to greater appreciate the light, and all that is good in life. To stand by oneself in a period shrouded in fear and confusion is the ultimate task before those who seek a life of fulfillment. Acknowledge your pain and don't hold it in a judgmental light, for it is just as much a part of the human experience as anything else."
